Data deletion instructions
How to request deletion or erasure of personal data associated with your ContextNews account, consistent with applicable privacy and platform requirements.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to request deletion or erasure of personal data we hold about you. We will respond in line with applicable law. We may deny or limit requests where we must retain information to complete transactions, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, detect fraud or abuse, or protect the security and integrity of the Service.
If you have an account, you can delete or export certain data yourself from account settings (for example saved articles, preferences, and profile details). Account closure or full deletion, or requests that require manual verification, may require the steps below or written contact to support.
Steps to request deletion
- Sign in to your ContextNews account if you have one. We may need to verify your identity before processing a deletion request.
- Open account or profile settings: remove saved content, disconnect linked identity providers (such as Google or X), and use any in-app deletion or data-export options available.
- Use the in-site contact form (or email support from the address on your account when available). Choose the data-deletion topic or use a clear subject line and describe what to remove.
- We will confirm receipt when possible and respond within a reasonable period required by applicable law, subject to verification and any exceptions described above.
